Until 2017, he lived in Minsk. In 2017, he moved to Kyiv and started a business with his partners. However, at the end of 2018, due to significant disagreements on business matters, he left the group of founders. At the same time, he started a new company, inviting his friend Yevgeny Vrublevsky to join him. In the same year, due to dishonesty in business relations, Kovel and his office were subjected to a series of attacks, searches by tax authorities and others; in short, problems began. Between 2018 and 2022, hundreds of citizens of Ukraine and Belarus suffered as a result of Kovel's criminal activities, and dozens of civil and criminal cases were opened against Kovel's company, Kolumb Auto Trade. In 2022, he moved to Warsaw, where he lives to this day and continues to engage in criminal activity.
