How Columb Trade deceives customers

COLUMB TRADE FRAUD SCHEME: Managers promise customers to purchase and deliver cars from the US at prices significantly below market value. They guarantee full responsibility at all stages of the purchase, delivery, and registration of the car. But in reality:

• 1. They sign a contract with the client whereby they bear no responsibility for the delivery of the car, but simply provide consulting services. As a result, the victims are subsequently unable to recover the money from them through the courts.
• 2. After winning a car at auction, customers are billed for payment to another company in the US owned by fraudsters and registered to front men. This means that the victim does not pay the money to the auction or to Columbus Auto Trade, but transfers the funds to the account of an unknown company in the United States (usually Columbus Shipping LLC or WIA CARGO LLC), with which they have no legal relationship.

The fraudulent scheme works on trust: company managers build trusting relationships with customers, win them over, and then slip them a contract to sign that does not correspond to the obligations they have outlined. As soon as the customer has paid the money, the pleasant communication ends and the problems begin: additional payments at each stage of delivery, broken junk instead of the promised "perfect condition," refusal to deliver the car for fictitious reasons, etc.
